Pistons shined brightly in the sun as the salty aqua dripped from them and talons dug into the sod beneath deeply. Muscles in pistons flexed and contracted with every movement as bod was carried across the terrain briskly, elegantly, and swiftly. The triple beat could be heard from some distance, but not too far. The short stature of the fae was elegantly proportioned and she was rarity. She had closer to an athletic build rather than bulky, but she still had muscles. Hind talons dug in as she flew over a fallen log and continued with her recent pace. where she was going, she had no idea. All she knew was she had left her well known, yet hated home, and just kept moving forward to escape the prison gates. Talons dug in as she climbed up a hill and halted at the top, a tear escaping her eye. Lids shut tight over her occules as the past went through her mind.
She looked down from the hilltop wanting desperately to leap off.Wanting to fly.To sprout wings and just fly away. Not a care in the world. Not a soul to care for.No one to care for her.No one left to understand her.No one to listen to her pleas.Pleas of sorrow, Pleas of pain.Head hurting terribly with memoirs of the past.Eyes swollen shut. Not a tear left in her to shed.Free.She will be free one day and that day, hopefully, was today.Lids opened and she leaped into a gallop as she raced down the hill and towards freedom and a new life. She soon came upon a small pool of aqua and halted. boa lowered her dial until her maw touched the cool aqua and she sucked up a great bit of it. Dial was raised as droplets dripped from her maw. Occules searched the terrain. There were many other mares around her, and at least one stallion near
each of them, actually wanting them and not wanting to hurt them. This made her smile for the first time in forever, but it soon faded. What if no one wanted her. She walked slowly until she came upon a large tree with plenty of shade beneath. She shook as she tried to rid the salty aqua from her pelt. Knees soon touched the sod below as she lowered her body to the ground. The cool sod helped to cool her off as sides still heaved and nares flared with every release of breathe. Occules searched the terrain once more to see for any stallions comming towards her. None yet. Lids shut over her lifeless eyes as she soon fell to sleep, with only the saddest of memories and dreams running through her crania. From the first look with her small, fourteen hand high, Norwegian Fjord body peacefully lieing there, you wouldn't think that she had a horrid past and only memories of hatred, but she does.
